Blast off with Mission Outer Space – an interactive show for 4-7 year olds.
What are the chances we’re not alone in the universe?
How do you even begin to look for alien life?
We’ll explore these questions together, travelling across the galaxy and finding out how real researchers are trying to answer them.
Through storytelling, performance, music and audience interaction, children will encounter some of the biggest questions in science and use their imaginations to think about what might be out there.
Made with scientists from Durham University and supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

The show will premiere at Northern Stage on Saturday 26 September before being delivered in schools from Autumn 2026. Tickets for the Northern Stage shows can be booked here.
