Brad McCormick is the artistic director for Cap-a-Pie, developing a range of community projects and professional productions. He is the performer in Cap-a-Pie’s ‘The Town Meeting’ and ‘The Important Man’, writer of ’The Other City’ and directed the company’s productions of ‘Six Legs’ and ‘Woven Bones’.
Brad has worked with Bristol’s Travelling Light Theatre Company to develop a solo show for children called ‘Sammy and the Snow Leopard’ that toured nationally in 2015 and 2017. He also directed Kitchen Zoo’s production of ‘The Three Bears at Christmas’ at Northern Stage in 2018.
He received a Bachelor of Performing Arts (Acting) from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School. Brad has studied Commedia dell’Arte with maestro Antonio Fava in Italy, as well as clown, bouffon, vaudeville and neutral mask with John Bolton, a former student of Jacques Le Coq and Phillippe Gaullier.
