Sam Patterson

Sam is a marketing and communications specialist whose experience has focussed on digital marketing and social media, predominantly in the arts, charity and fashion ecommerce sectors.

Sam has previously held roles at Sunderland Empire, Arts Council England, St Oswald’s Hospice and END. Clothing. She spent four years at END., a Sunday Times BDO Profit Track 100 company, running their social media channels where she saw their global social media audience grow to over 1.5 million.

She returned to the Arts and Culture sector in 2017, taking up the position of Marketing and Communications Manager for the Popular and Contemporary music programme at Sage Gateshead.

Sam is a three-time Great North Runner (and there won’t be a fourth), she’s a mentee with the Girls’ Network and was a 2019/20 Common Purpose Meridian programme graduate. She also once appeared on Ready, Steady, Cook!

Sam holds a BA in English Literature from Newcastle University, an MA in Journalism from Sunderland University and an NCTJ Diploma in Journalism.
