The students are then asked to get inside the head of Fizziwig by pretending to be just like her. They are taken through a brief lesson in pig physicality and then are asked to explore the space as pigs, pretending that they are in the outside world, thinking about questions like: how would Fizziwig feel seeing streets, cars and shops for the first time?
Themes
This DE ends with a philosophical discussion of a question related to the content of the enquiry.
Students are given the opportunity to think of themes that have emerged during the workshop. The students work in pairs or small groups and then share their ideas until a list of themes is written up on the board.
Questions
The children are then asked to use these themes to try and form open-ended questions that can be discussed as a group.
A vote is taken to decide on which question should be discussed.
