Assistant Creative Facilitator for theatre workshops in primary schools
Newcastle based theatre company, Cap-a-Pie is seeking a creative freelance facilitator to join our team as we get back to delivering face-to-face work in primary schools. We are looking for someone who can enable the young people we work with to be creative and have fun.
This exciting opportunity offers training in safeguarding, Philosophy for Children and Cap-a-Pie’s approach to working creatively with young people. You will then assist Cap-a-Pie’s Artistic Director to deliver some fun, creative workshops in Newcastle and North Tyneside primary schools.
We are looking for people with experience of creative facilitation and creating theatre. We welcome applications from people with skills across all disciplines of theatre, including but not limited to, scriptwriters, performers, directors, designers, sound designers, musicians, composers, dancers and choreographers. If you have experience of facilitation and skills in making theatre we’d like to hear from you.
We want to increase the diversity of our workforce. We particularly welcome applications from disabled people, people who are more likely to experience racism* and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

This fee covers:
- 2 days training
- 2 days preparation
- 9 days delivery in schools based in North East England
The closing date for applications is 5pm, 29th April 2021. Interviews will be held remotely on the 6th May 2021.
