Andy Carr
Andy Carr is Chief Financial Officer at Leighton, a Newcastle based technology company recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces for three years running.
Andy brings over two decades of finance experience across a broad range of sectors. He began his career at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music (then The Sage, Gateshead) before moving into financial services roles at Santander Cards UK and Newcastle Building Society. He then spent five years at Greggs, progressing through logistics, supply chain finance and retail finance business partnering roles, followed by four years as a Finance Business Partner at Morrison Data Services.
Andy was drawn to Cap-a-Pie by its distinctive approach to educating through performance, and by the fact that many of the schools it works with are in the area where he grew up — he was keen to help give children there the chance to experience the arts. Outside work, Andy is a keen cook, having spent over ten years perfecting his pizza making, and enjoys staying active and spending time with his family.
